These 7 pieces are about the limits the mind reaches when in time of utmost stress whether it is physical , emotional or spiritual : the shock of love at first sight, the end of a passionate love affair, the mental state of a pilot in a war plane that has just been shot down, the intake of a powerful drug, the fear of someone who has been told that he suffers from a deadly disease, the pain of a mother who has lost her child.
These are the sound of the brain chemistry during these life experiences.

The first piece is inspired by a Purcell's Prelude. The other pieces have been written as a tribute to Boeldieu, a composer who lived at the beginning of the 19th century. He wrote a Harp Concerto. In this concerto is a theme which I use as the main melodic thread of these pieces.
